For Stage 1, I needed to get a good understanding of the industry, the tools, techniques and the way all of these are done. I have documented my progress through a series of blogs, which have been categorised into each different area I have been focused on:
• Story2D – Focuses on how the game story and visual effects such as the animations are put together.
• Research – Delves into the market research side of the game industry
• Design – Looks at how games are designed
• Engines – Focuses on game engines and which games use what engine
• Sound – These blogs look at the creation and use of sound in games
• Rizing Games – This documents progress on both my group project, as well as all work completed during the “Rizing Games” sessions
