Sound Design

Spotting List

Audio/Visual Production:

To create all of the music needed for my game I am going to use a program available for apple devices; Logic Pro

Effects

Logic Pro provides you with a wide variety of effects which can be useful when creating a sound. The features that were predominantly used in my sounds were stretch, loop and fade. Below is an example of a sound I used with the fade- in applied to it.

Editing

Using the editing in logic pro, I am able to manipulated different tracks in a variety of ways, and then layer them, including the use of the effects outlined under the previous subheading. This was very useful and helped me to create a very satisfying piece of menu, and in game music.

Bouncing

Bouncing is simply exporting the file to a sound file. In my case, both tracks were exported as an mp3 to save space, and also as a wav file would be overkill in my opinion given the use of the tracks. When exporting the file, you are met with the following screen:

Import and Implementation

To use the sound in game maker, I simply had to import the mp3 as a sound, and then code it in to play/stop the menu and ingame music where needed.
